- 1971 Chevy Nova...runs 10.50's @ 124 mph on the motor in the 1/4 mile (10.18 @ 130 with 75 shot of nitrous).
UPDATE: Just ran my first 9.95 in the 1/4 mi @ 132 mph at Bakersfield this last weekend...hooray! I'm in single digits now!! LOL!
UPDATE as of 5/4/2011: We've made some significant changes to my Nova recently. We took out the 406 small block that I'd been running for the past 4 years and now I've got a beautiful 556 Donovan aluminum big block. This is seriously a whole new world for me and I'm having to completely re-learn my car...LOL...but I'm up to the challenge and I think we're going to get along just fine once we get used to each other. :) My first pass at Fontana was a 9.76 @ 135 mph with a 60' of 1.40. We're doing a little front end work (ordered some nice looking parts from TRZ) and she should be back up & running in about a week or so. I'm hoping to get the car dialed in so I can run the C-Gas class at ANRA & West Coast Hot Rod.

- Hi Diane, it was great talking with you at the races the other day. I am glad to see that you and you husband joined! My car broke :( It ran a 10:48 under driven then broke over driven. I need to buy a SBC crank with a BBC snout. The first time it happened was on the dyno. We repaired the crank and put a better damper. Now the second time it happened at the track. I could have been much worse if we threw a belt. I am still depressed and don’t have the dough to fix it. Guess I had better get out the car cover... LOL. Take care.
